Questions To Ask Yourself:
- Have I done my research on this issue?
- Do I even know what vaccinations my child has received? Many people don't.
- Do I know what the ingredients are?
- Has anyone made me aware of the possible side effects?
- Has my pediatrician offered to give me the package inserts to the vaccinations my child has received so that I can read about the ingredients and the risks?
I could answer only "no" to these questions myself until Kate forced us to look deeper.
Just A Few Things To Get You Thinking
In the middle 1960s, when I was born, there were two vaccinations on the recommended schedule. DPT and polio. My mother remembers how adamant my pediatrician was about not giving me any vaccinations at all until I was at least one year old.
In the 1970s and the 1980s - - over nearly two decades - - only one new vaccine was added to the recommended schedule, the combination MMR (measles, mumps, rubella.)
Take a look at the schedule today. There are 21 recommended vaccinations (individual shots) that are given to babies by the time they are 12 months old. Their immune systems are not fully developed yet and are not ready to handle this type of assault.
It is not only mercury or thimerasol that you should be concerned about. Vaccinations contain aluminum, another neurotoxin, as well as other toxic agents. The ingredients in vaccinations is a subject that is much to large to examine here. Take a look for yourself. Ask for package inserts, read the ingredients, and do some research. Chances are, you'll be shocked at what you discover.
The FDA warns women against eating too much mercury-containing fish during pregnancy. Why then, does the CDC recommend that pregnant women receive a vaccination which contains twice the recommended levels of mercury (the flu shot) during pregnancy?
"In 1996 alone there were 872 serious adverse events in children under 14 years old reported to VAERS. 658 of those injuries were following hepatitis B vaccination in combination with other vaccinations and 214 of these injuries were after hapatis B vaccination alone. In these children under 14 years old, there were 35 deaths after hepatisi B vaccination in comnination and 13 deaths after hepatitis B vaccinatino alone, for a total of 48 deaths. Compare these statistics with the total number of hepatitis B cases nationwide reported that same year (1996) in children under 14, just 279, and the conclusion is obvious that the risks of hepatitis B vaccination far outweigh its benefits."
Even though the hepatitis B vaccination has been shown to cause neurological damage in infants, it is recommended that babies receive three more vaccinations for hepatitis B within the next 24 weeks of their lives.
Wait A Minute!
Thimerosal Was Removed From Vaccinations In 1999
Wasn't It?
Actually, no it wasn't. Not completely. First of all, vaccinations containing thimerosal were never recalled, meaning that there were hundreds of thousands of vaccination doses sitting in boxes, on pediatrician's shelves, and stored away at health departments all across the nation with the expiration date of 2003. So, if you think your child did not receive any mercury from his/her routine vaccinations, you may want to find out for sure.
Secondly, after 2003, many vaccinations still contain what is referred to by pharmaceutical companies as "trace amounts." Check the package inserts on the vaccinations your child has received to find out what these "trace" amounts mount up to.
Why is it okay to inject children with even "trace amounts" of toxins?
It was also not mandated that thimerosal be removed from the influenza vaccination.
Disclaimer:
I talk a lot about the hepatitis B vaccine because that was the first one Kate was exposed to and because the dangers of this vaccination are mind boggling, as is the fact that babies receive 4 doses of this vax.
The subject of the safety of vaccinations is vast and has been covered by many excellent researchers and writers. (See recommendations on the Links and Resources page.) This subject is not for me to cover. We are simply telling our story.
I am not here to convince you not to vaccinate your children. My point, through this website, the book sales, and your donations is to point people in the direction toward self-education.
We each have our own path to follow.
